Sincere Fine Watches onboards Sartory Billard into its curated portfolio as the brand’s exclusive retailer in the region.

Sincere Fine Watches announces its partnership with Sartory Billard, the acclaimed independent French watchmaking Maison founded by Armand Billard in 2015. This strategic alliance marks Sartory Billard’s official debut in Asia, with Sincere appointed as the brand’s exclusive retailer across its network in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan.

To commemorate this milestone, Sincere Fine Watches and Sartory Billard have co-created a special series of eight exclusive SB06 Flying Tourbillon SHH Editions, featuring two one-of-a-kind timepieces for each of Sincere’s four markets. Individually crafted and deeply rooted in cultural storytelling, each creation pays tribute to the heritage and iconic landmarks of its respective region, while showcasing Sartory Billard’s masterful approach to bespoke watchmaking and creative ingenuity.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Mr. Ong Ban, CEO of Sincere Watch Limited, shares, “Sartory Billard embodies the spirit of contemporary independent watchmaking – with bold creativity, bespoke artistry, and authentic horological passion. This partnership reinforces our mission to continue elevating Sincere’s standing as Asia’s premier destination for haute horlogerie.”

Sartory Billard: Artisanal Excellence in Independent Watchmaking

Since its inception in 2015, Sartory Billard has swiftly earned recognition as a distinctive voice in independent watchmaking celebrated for its fusion of bespoke craftsmanship and contemporary design. The brand was born from the creative vision of Armand Billard, a former industrial designer, who transitioned into horology to pursue his passion for mechanical artistry.

What distinguishes Sartory Billard is its unwavering commitment to personalisation and artistic expression. Every timepiece is meticulously crafted, with clients intimately involved in the creative process – from selecting rare and unconventional materials for dials to customising intricate guilloché patterns. Each watch becomes a unique expression of its owner, elevating timekeeping to a deeply personal art form.

The SB06-24HM “La Nuit” was recognised as a finalist in the Tourbillon category at the 2024 GPHG – a reflection of the brand’s growing acclaim for technical refinement.

This philosophy has earned the Sartory Billard international acclaim among collectors and connoisseurs, most notably with its SB06-24HM “La Nuit” being named a finalist in the Tourbillon category at the 2024 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). The nomination stands as a testament to the Maison’s technical refinement and its growing influence in the world of high watchmaking.

The SB06: A Sculptural Canvas of Symmetry and Craft

At the heart of every Sartory Billard SB06 Flying Tourbillon SHH Edition lies the meticulously constructed SBTV01 in-house manual-winding movement, revealed through a double-domed sapphire caseback. Beating at 3Hz (21,600 vph) and offering an impressive 96-hour power reserve, this refined calibre comprises 209 components and 19 jewels, including three oversized rubies – a deliberate aesthetic detail that enhances the movement’s visual presence. A signature feature is the invisible sapphire top bridge, which gives the flying tourbillon its ethereal, weightless appearance as it hovers above the dial.

A sapphire bridge beneath the caseback reveals microscopic engravings — hidden details visible only under magnification.

Equally captivating is the reverse side of the movement. A precise vertical symmetry is established through two bridges at the lower half of the mainplate, while the upper bridge bears the inscription “pièce unique” to emphasise the exclusivity of each edition. Beneath the caseback, a sapphire bridge bears microscopic engravings that include the ruby count, brand name, manufacturer, and origin – Val-de-Travers, Switzerland. Visible only under magnification, it offers a hidden narrative layer for the most observant collector.

Adding to its visual poetry, the movement’s champagne-coloured guilloché baseplate pays homage to the brand’s French roots. This warm, understated tone contrasts elegantly with the bold dial design, creating a cohesive aesthetic across all eight SHH Editions. More than just a mechanical engine, it is thoughtfully finished to reflect Sartory Billard’s dedication to both technical finesse and visual artistry.

Each watch flaunts a polished Grade 5 titanium case measuring 41mm in diameter and just 9.5mm in thickness, creating a perfect balance of presence and comfort on the wrist. The double-domed sapphire crystals reveal the artistry of the dial and the intricate beauty of the movement within.

The SB06 Flying Tourbillon SHH Editions: A Celebration of Asian Heritage

Each of the eight piece unique SB06 Flying Tourbillon SHH Editions embodies the distinct cultural identity of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan, while showcasing Sartory Billard’s exceptional craftsmanship through impeccably executed dial designs and refined material choices. With no two pieces alike, the strictly limited production enhances the exclusivity and collectability of the series, making them coveted additions for discerning horological connoisseurs.

The SB06 features a 24-hour indication powered by a bespoke under-dial module, the only known execution paired with a flying tourbillon.

Across all eight unique pieces, the double-ended hour hand serves as the defining design element that brings distinctive unity to this special collaboration. One end features a radiant sun with an expressive face crafted in solid gold, while the other shows a silver crescent moon filled with glowing Super-LumiNova, creating a subtle luminescent effect in low light conditions. Crafted from five meticulously finished components including a sandblasted central shaft, two spear-shaped tips, and expressive celestial motifs, this design draws inspiration from the hands of vintage astronomical clock. Symbolising vibrant energy, the sun complements the moon’s tranquillity, reflecting the harmony, strength, and rich diversity of our retail markets across the region.

Powered by a specially developed under-dial module, the SB06 Flying Tourbillon SHH Editions replaces the conventional 12-hour format with a 24-hour display – a rare feat in watchmaking and the only known execution paired with a flying tourbillon. A single large hand completes one full rotation every 24 hours: from 6am to 6pm, the sun leads; from 6pm to 6am, the moon takes over, offering an intuitive and poetic reading of time.

Mr. Armand Billard, founder of Sartory Billard, adds, “Sincere Fine Watches have a remarkable reputation for championing independent watchmaking. It’s a great honour to see our first Southeast Asian collection brought to life through Sincere’s creative lens – each piece reflects our shared values of craftsmanship, and technical mastery. We drew inspiration from the rich cultural tapestries of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Taiwan to create timepieces that serve as artistic tributes to these fascinating destinations. Sincere’s deep understanding of local cultures and collector preferences across these four dynamic markets has been instrumental in shaping the final designs, ensuring that each edition resonates meaningfully with its audience.”

A poetic tribute to water, sky, and architecture, this creation draws inspiration from the world’s tallest indoor waterfall – the Jewel Rain Vortex.

Singapore
Sartory Billard SB06 Flying Tourbillon Vortex Guilloché SHH Edition

The first creation for Singapore draws inspiration from the Jewel Rain Vortex – the world’s tallest indoor waterfall – located at Changi International Airport. This striking timepiece captures the poetic interplay between water, sky, and the airport’s iconic glass-and-metal architecture. A sky-blue guilloché on the outer ring evokes the sunny island’s clear skies and structural elegance of the terminal, while the centre features a vortex-inspired guilloché with metallic reflections that mirror the power and movement of cascading water. Anchored at 6 o’clock, the flying tourbillon intensifies the visual dynamism, introducing a captivating technical flourish to the composition. A leather strap in matching blue adds the finishing touch.

The rainbow guilloché dial mirrors the vibrant charm of Peranakan shophouses, contrasted by an anthracite-grey inner dial that symbolises the surrounding urban landscape.

Sartory Billard SB06 Flying Tourbillon Rainbow Guilloché SHH Edition

The second Singapore edition pays homage to the vibrant Peranakan shophouses of Koon Seng Road, nestled in the historic Katong–Joo Chiat district. Their candy-hued façades, adorned with floral tiles and ornate detailing, reflects Singapore’s rich multicultural heritage. This timepiece captures the kaleidoscopic charm of this architectural icon through an innovative 12-part rainbow guilloché dial – an unprecedented technical feat. Providing visual contrast, the textured anthracite-grey inner dial symbolises the modern urban landscape that surrounds this cherished historical enclave. Adding an elegant, tactile contrast is a black ostrich strap, secured with a steel pin buckle engraved with the Sartory Billard logo.

We believe these piece unique editions will resonate with collectors, not only as expressive works of horology, but as meaningful reflections of their inspiration.”

Malaysia

A celebration of the country’s rich artistic heritage and natural beauty, the Sartory Billard SB06 Flying Tourbillon Batik Aventurine SHH Edition showcases a hand-painted batik motif on pure white mother-of-pearl, paired with a black aventurine minute dial – a tribute to Malaysia’s traditional textiles and artisanal craftsmanship. The second timepiece, the Sartory Billard SB06 Flying Tourbillon Green Jade SHH Edition, highlights the refined allure of intense jade, set against a deep green guilloché dial. The ornamental stone holds deep cultural significance in Malaysia, where it is revered as a symbol of purity, longevity, and protection.

Thailand

Both editions pay tribute to Thailand’s majestic shrines and regal iconography. The Sartory Billard SB06 Flying Tourbillon Celestium SHH Edition incorporates lapis lazuli with gold inclusions, paired with a fumé blue guilloché minute dial that reflects the ornamental richness of traditional Thai sacred architecture. The Sartory Billard SB06 Flying Tourbillon Soleilis SHH Edition is distinguished by a veined turquoise stone dial and a gold-plated rising sun guilloché, recalling the gold-leaf details that embellish many of the nation’s historic monuments and temples.

Taiwan

Drawing inspiration from Taiwan’s most iconic skyscraper and a modern architectural marvel – the Sartory Billard SB06 Flying Tourbillon Spirit of 101 SHH Edition features a tinted sapphire minute dial with a unique Taipei 101 design motif guilloché and delicate cloud inserts, referencing classical East Asian artistic motifs. The Sartory Billard SB06 Flying Tourbillon Silicon Constellation SHH Edition features an authentic Taiwanese silicon wafer set within the inner dial — a subtle tribute to the nation’s pioneering role in global semiconductor innovation. It is set against a backdrop of black aventurine, which evokes a night sky illuminated by floating lanterns. Together, these two editions beautifully express Taiwan’s unique harmony as a cutting-edge tech powerhouse and a nation deeply rooted in cultural tradition.
